Grand Prix for Unknown Antarctica

Domžale, 20 March 2009 - The Grand Prize of the 3rd International Mountain Film Festival in Domžale - Ljubljana, was awarded to the Slovak Film "The Unknown Antarctica" directed by Pavol Barabáš. This adventure film about crossing the world's coldest mountain range, addressed the jury with its content and technical excellence as well as its ethical message. This is already the tenth award for this film.

They are somewhere in the middle of their journey. They can take a break after walking through the cracked iceberg. The first in the row is Peter Valusiak, followed by the documentary filmmaker Pavol Barabas who also films the journey and the group of three Czechs: the traveler Rudo Svaricek and two Himalaya explorers Vladimir Nosek and Zdenek Hruby.
