Amazonia Vertical Grand Prize of the 4th annual International Tbilisi Mountain, Adventure and Extreme Films Festival Niamori went to the American documentary KIRAN OVER MONGOLIA. SYMPHONY OF JANNU of Russia won the Best Climbing Film nomination. The cameraman and one of the hero in this film, Russian high-altitude climber Alexander RUCHKIN received a special diploma for friendship.
This year three Russian filmmakers wanted to participate in Niamori festival, but only SYMPHONY OF JANNU surmounted political barriers. The prize for the Best Extreme Project presented by Teton Gravity Research went to another American film A†˘nom†˘a†˘ly. Slovakian documentary, AMAZONIA VERTICAL won the Best Film about Travelers nomination.
