16th May 2008 - At the International Festival Envirofilm 2008, the film UNKNOWN ANTARCTICA, by a Slovak film director, was awarded the Festival Director's Prize for the Best Film, in particular for a sovereign cinematization of an expedition to icy Antarctica that, at the same time, reflects the problems of the present world. A sixth part of the successful series of author's evenings devoted to the wonders of the Earth, "The world by Pavol Barabáš", was also held during the festival. The grand prix of the festival was awarded to the film GREINA directed by Villi Hermann.
