Mongolia awarded in Nitra and Čadca

Last week, Agrofilm Nitra and Etnofilm Čadca reflected many interesting films. The International Jury at both festivals decided to award several prizes.  In Nitra, Mongolia - In the Shadow of Genghis Khan won the 1st Prize in Category Documentary Films. In Čadca, the film was awarded Prize of the Director of the Festival.

More than 100 films from 22 countries entered the competition at Etnofilm, which was held from September 29th until October 2nd in Čadca (nothern Slovakia). ETNOFILM is an international biennial film festival devoted to ethnology as well as social and cultural anthropology in a wide sense of the term. Mongolia - In the Shadow of Genghis Khan won the Prize of the Director of the Festival for "a remarkable view on the country with the lowest population in the world, capturing the past, that has influenced world history and contemporary life of its inhabitants." Nitra, October 1st (TASR) - Last Friday, The Hungarian documentary Return to Bharatpuru was awarded The Magna Mater (which is the main prize of the festival) at the Agrofilm Film Festival in Nitra. Mongolia - In the Shadow of Genghis Khan won The Category Documentary Films. More than 150 film entered the festival and the jury decided to screen almost 60 of them in the main competition and Mongolia - In the Shadow of Genghis Khan was one of them.
