At the 31 st International Festival of the Mountain Films, Poprad, Slovakia the international jury composed of Michael Dillon (Australia), Aldo Audisio (Italy), and Daniel Burlac (Romania) awarded the film Grand Canyon with the Prize for inspired adventure.
56 films from 15 countries competed from the 11th till 13th of October. The Jury awarded the documentary film Grand Canyon with this statement: A wonderfully filmed tribute to the history of the Grand Canyon, and portrayal of the challenge itself and the well crafted personal history of the companions that made this journey so special for them.
